The Ryan Pannone era of Arkansas State basketball began with grit, balance, and belief.
In his first game as head coach, Pannone guided a brand-new Red Wolves roster to an 89–85 road victory over Ohio Monday night, erasing a seven-point second-half deficit and showing early signs of what his program could become.
The win marked Pannone’s first as a collegiate head coach and made him the first Arkansas State coach to win his debut since Dickey Nutt in 1995.
