JONESBORO, Ark. — Arkansas State needed a little time to get going Saturday night.

Once the Red Wolves did, West Georgia had no answer.

Arkansas State turned a relatively close game into a rout with a dominant second half, forcing a string of turnovers and piling up 256 rushing yards on the way to a 52-7 victory at Centennial Bank Stadium.

The 45-point victory was the second-largest margin of victory during coach Butch Jones’ tenure at Arkansas State.

It was a game Jones described afterward as “probably the most bizarre 52-7 game” he had been a part of.
