Red Wolves Poised for Historic Showdown With Razorbacks

Saturday will mark a milestone in Arkansas sports history. For the first time ever, the Arkansas State Red Wolves will line up against the Arkansas Razorbacks on the football field. The long-awaited meeting kicks off at 4 p.m. at War Memorial Stadium, a stage fitting for a matchup decades in the making.

For years, the two programs coexisted without crossing paths, with the Razorbacks historically avoiding in-state competition. Meanwhile, Arkansas State steadily built its résumé, climbing into the FBS ranks, collecting multiple Sun Belt championships, and producing NFL talent.

Now, the barrier has fallen. Fans across the state — Red Wolves and Razorbacks alike — will finally see the programs share the same field. For A-State, it represents both an opportunity and a validation.
