Arkansas State’s season-opening 42-24 loss to Memphis was more competitive than the final score might suggest, but it also exposed several areas the Red Wolves will have to address quickly.
Arkansas State produced 434 yards, twice held a lead and pulled within four points late in the third quarter. Memphis, however, took advantage of four turnovers and rushed for 335 yards to pull away.
