Nine Red Wolves Earn Spots on 2025 All-Sun Belt Conference Teams
The Arkansas State Red Wolves were well represented in the 2025 All-Sun Belt Conference football awards, with nine players earning 10 total selections across the league’s first, second, and third teams, as well as honorable mention, the conference office announced Thursday.
A-State placed players in all three phases of the game, including two on offense, seven on defense, and one specialist.
Senior defensive end Demarcus Hendricks and return specialist Chauncy Cobb highlighted the Red Wolves’ postseason honors as First Team All-Sun Belt selections. Hendricks becomes the program’s first defensive lineman to earn first-team recognition since 2019.
Senior wide receiver Corey Rucker and junior defensive tackle Cody Sigler were named to the second team, while Cobb—at the all-purpose position—and senior defensive end Ethan Hassler earned third-team honors.
A-State’s four honorable mention recipients included senior cornerback Avante Dickerson, senior safety AG McGhee, senior defensive tackle Simeon Mitchell, and senior linebacker Kyle Taylor.
Hendricks delivered one of the league’s top defensive performances, finishing third in the Sun Belt with 6.5 sacks—all in conference play—and totaling 50 tackles and 11.5 tackles for loss. His selection marks only the third time in school history that A-State has had three defensive linemen earn All-Sun Belt recognition in the same season.
Cobb proved to be one of the most explosive returners in the nation, leading the Sun Belt and ranking fifth nationally with 28.1 yards per kick return. He was the only Sun Belt player with multiple kick-return touchdowns this season. Cobb also contributed heavily on offense, tying for the team lead with 69 receptions for 767 yards.
Rucker earned All-Sun Belt honors for the third time in his career, posting a team-high 866 receiving yards and leading the conference with four 100-yard games in league play.
Sigler was one of the nation’s highest-graded defensive tackles according to PFF, finishing with 25 total quarterback pressures and ranking second nationally among defensive tackles with five passes deflected.
Hassler anchored the defensive front with 53 tackles and 6.5 sacks, including 5.0 sacks in league play.
Arkansas State, one of just 17 Group of Six programs to secure bowl eligibility for a third straight season, now awaits its postseason destination. Bowl matchups will be announced by Sunday, Dec. 7, following conference championship weekend.
