Arkansas State rallied from a seven-point second-half deficit, scored the final 10 points and closed the game with its offense on the field to defeat Kennesaw State 17-14 at Centennial Bank Stadium.
The victory evened Arkansas State’s record at 2-2 and completed the nonconference portion of its schedule. Now the Red Wolves turn their attention to Sun Belt Conference play and a trip to Louisiana on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Jones said Monday that the win over Kennesaw State represented an important step for a team still developing its identity.
