Arkansas State coach Butch Jones has spent the early portion of the season waiting to see how his football team would respond when a game came down to a handful of critical moments.
He received his answer Saturday night.
The Red Wolves overcame a seven-point second-half deficit, scored the game’s final 10 points and then ran out the clock with three first downs to secure a 17-14 victory over Kennesaw State at Centennial Bank Stadium.
For Jones, the significance went beyond improving to 2-2 before Arkansas State begins Sun Belt Conference play.
