Five Hamilton may not be the loudest voice on Arkansas State’s defense.
His production is beginning to speak for him.
The Kennesaw State transfer has quickly developed into an important piece of the Red Wolves’ defense, and his performance Saturday night at TCU provided the latest example. Hamilton recorded a career-high 12 tackles, including 11 solo stops, and added a tackle for loss in Arkansas State’s 31-7 defeat.
But Arkansas State coach Butch Jones believes Hamilton’s value goes beyond what appears on a stat sheet.
“I can speak for what he’s meant to our football team,” Jones said. “He’s been actually one of our silent leaders. Great locker room guy, leads by — sets the standard. Been really, really pleased with him in the addition to our football program.
“Very, very competitive, very diligent worker, so I just can’t say enough great things about him.”
