Battle for Sun Belt West: Arkansas State Hosts Southern Miss
First place in the Sun Belt Conference’s West Division will be on the line Saturday morning when Arkansas State (5-4, 4-1 SBC) welcomes Southern Miss (6-2, 4-0 SBC) to Centennial Bank Stadium.
Kickoff is set for 11 a.m., with television coverage on ESPNU.
The matchup carries extra intrigue as former Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson returns to Jonesboro in his new role as offensive coordinator for Southern Miss. Anderson led the Red Wolves from 2014 to 2020, guiding the program to six consecutive bowl appearances and two Sun Belt titles before moving on to Utah State and later joining the Golden Eagles’ staff.
