There were turnovers, missed assignments and communication breakdowns that Arkansas State coach Butch Jones acknowledged afterward must be corrected.
But underneath those mistakes was something else — a football team with enough talent to become a serious factor in the Sun Belt Conference once all the pieces begin working together.
