Arkansas State Set for Road Test at Stephen F. Austin
The Ryan Pannone era at Arkansas State began with a rally that may have set the tone for what lies ahead. The Red Wolves overcame a first-half deficit to defeat Ohio 89–85 in Monday’s season opener, giving Pannone his first victory as a Division I head coach.
Now, A-State (1–0) faces another early-season challenge Friday evening when it travels to Stephen F. Austin (1–0) for a 6 p.m. tipoff at William R. Johnson Coliseum.
It will be the third all-time meeting between the two programs and the first ever in Nacogdoches. The series is tied 1–1 after Arkansas State defeated the Lumberjacks 59–49 last season in Jonesboro.
