Butch Jones knows the Red Wolves have work to do before traveling to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to face Southern Miss on Saturday.
After a frustrating loss Thursday night, Jones said Arkansas State must correct its mistakes, protect the football and improve its execution in critical situations. But he also believes the team’s response to adversity offers reason for optimism as the Red Wolves prepare for another Sun Belt Conference challenge.
“Big week for us to improve on our deficiencies that we need to improve on,” Jones said. “We know a lot of the issues that we need to correct, and there is anybody working harder to correct the issues.”
