Fresh off a dramatic season-opening victory over Toledo in front of a record-setting crowd, Arkansas State will face its first major road test Friday night when the Red Wolves travel to Tuscaloosa to take on No. 20 Alabama.
Arkansas State (1-0) defeated Toledo 71-70 Monday night at First National Bank Arena despite struggling offensively. The Red Wolves shot just 35.7% from the field, 29.7% from 3-point range and 43.5% from the free-throw line.
The victory came before 5,483 fans, the largest opening-night crowd for Arkansas State men’s basketball since 1991. The attendance figure also placed the Red Wolves atop the Sun Belt Conference in attendance early in the 2026-27 season.
