Arkansas State’s nonconference schedule doesn’t offer much of a breather in September.
After opening the season on the road against Memphis, hosting West Georgia in its home opener and traveling to face Big 12 member TCU, the Red Wolves return to Centennial Bank Stadium on Sept. 26 for perhaps the most intriguing game of the nonconference slate when defending Conference USA champion Kennesaw State comes to town.
On paper, the matchup may not jump off the page to casual fans. But a closer look reveals Arkansas State will be facing one of the nation’s biggest surprise teams from a year ago.
